Lilies in the office
July 29th, 2008
I was working fairly late last night and my friends Eisen and Ammie messaged me. They asked whether or not i would be at pin’s office tomorrow. There’s something in the pantry for me. The first thing that came into my mind is food LOL. Well, it’s placed in the pantry area and of course my first thought would be food-related. Ahem, pardon me :D
Well, they sounded so mysterious and i didn’t get to know what was it until i was there today. Well well, it’s a pleasant surprise from Ammie. Red roses and lilies placed inside a vase with water and flower food. Sticky note says :” To Marcus, from lefiores :) ” hehe. Nice~ I love it alot. Thank you very much to brighten my day with a roses and lilies. I’ve talked to Ammie and she taught me how to manage the lilies and the sticky stuff on the tip. I thought it’s honey… hmmmmmmmmm… anyway, she said she’s going to teach me more when we meet haha. Sounds exciting!
Here’s the a few shots of the roses and lilies in action in my office!

Earn money with widgetbucks?
July 29th, 2008
I’ve came across widgetbucks when i was browsing through for some reading materials online and i happen to drop by at earnmoneytoblog.com. I saw this interesting money making method that the author is trying to promote through his blog. The author suggest that Widgetbucks is another method of making money through blogging apart from google adsense. I googled and found comments on both extreme ends talking about the good and the bad about Widgetbucks.

Some blogger says it does pay really good. Widgetbucks pay you 25 USD upon signing up, which caught my attention too.
Some blogger complains that it’s actually a trap that lure bloggers to put their ads up, help them expand their advertisement network, but they didn’t actually pay. If you look up for widgetbucks scam or keywords of these sort, you can see alot of the similar comments that’s featured at iguides.org, moneyblogger.org, blogstorm.co.uk or googlelady.com.
Well, it’s pretty hard to determine who’s actually right and who’s actually wrong. Much observation need to be done before actually get these widget ad tool installed on your blog. That’s what i think.

CPI for June surges to 7.7%
July 25th, 2008
I saw this in my RSS feed yesterday morning ” CPI for June surges to 7.7% ” and here’s the full story about it.
A consumer price index (CPI) is a measure of the average price of consumer goods and services purchased by households. It is one of several price indices calculated by national statistical agencies. The percent change in the CPI is a measure of inflation. - Source by wikipedia
That’s the last thing i wanted to know about my living environment. CPI for June surges to 7.7%, and most likely it’ll stay there for the following month. There’s been enough financial pressure and stress for prices of almost everything going over the roof. I know i have to stop whining about things that’s happening now and with the speed of lightning. So probably you guys can suggest some ideas or methods or ways or tips and tricks that can ease the financial stress of everyday’s living? For the benefit of all of us of course.

A journey to her heart.. ( part 3 )
July 20th, 2008
I once said, ” i don’t believe in long distance relationship.. ” Yet she manage to change my perspective which i once thought impossible.
We went back to Addlestone, i helped her move her stuffs out. It’s time to say good bye to Golden House. She got a new job at Whitstable, Kent. Her current boss drove us there by car. But instead of moving her stuffs to her new place, they sent us to birchington, where my younger sister stays. It’s a lovely town, with lovely neighbourhood, and lovely seaside. We went for a bicycle ride, it’s alot of fun! i forgot when was the last time i rid on a bicycle, despite all the fun.. it actually gave me quite a painful experience too..

Shirni, my sister - Ying and me went to stay in London for a few days to visit, snap some photos and of course, shopping!! We revisited the London Eye, Tower Bridge, London Bridge :) so that we all know the difference, and also Oxford Street for more shopping!! We also went to Madame Tussauds wax musuem in London.. snapped alot of photos with the celebrities and also Madame Tussauds herself! One of the place i’ve been wanting to visit is The Royal Observatory in Greenwich. Greenwich gives me a strong feeling that this is the place we should go, complementing our long distance relationship of being half a world apart. We had a great time there. Just a suggestion, anyone who wishes to visit there should ride a bike because of the long distance uphill walk path.

3rd July is my sis’s birthday, we were at TGI Friday celebrating. She seems very happy that day. I guess she never expected that we’d be together during her birthday :) It’s good timing. Well, the feeling of having companion celebrating your birthday halfway across the globe is really something.

I really enjoyed myself all this while. Although it’s a short 16 days trip to UK, but i got to spend alot of quality time with the one i love most, Shirni, and with my younger sister. I wished i’d be able to stay longer, but it’s a pity that i couldn’t. I’d need to come back to where i belong, where my obligations belong. It’s sad to say goodbye, and it’s heart-tearing to think that we have to be apart again. I remember she told me through the phone once, that the secret of maintaining long distance relationship, is to be happy and cherish what we are having. Positive influences make you stronger, build your faith, gets you going. I cherish the relationship that we have, that’s why i’m not sad that i’m leaving her for now. Because, deep down, both of us know, future awaits. There are still alot more pages in life we need to fill colours with. I hugged her, kissed her lips and forehead and told her to take good care of herself. We will need to strive harder for the future to come. I’ll be waiting at home, waiting her to come back to me. Hugged my sis, said good byes and i walked into the departure area. My emotion was like submarine, sank into the bottom of the sea at that moment. I turned back and saw both of them were smiling.. so i walked on..
Another 13 hours.. another 10868km. I reached KLIA. Pin is picking me up from airport. I was waiting at roadside. Shirni called, things are getting back to how it is. I’m here, she’s there. Well, she told me through the phone that they cried on the journey back home. Hehe. Well, i shed some tears too on my flight back.. shhhhh :P I love you Shirni. I love you guys so much.

A journey to her heart.. ( part 2 )
July 17th, 2008
It’s timeless when you’re together with the love of your life. Nothing else matters. I just sit tight and stare at her blankly as she smiles, works, talks, eat, crack jokes.. She always thought i’m bored. Well, i think she’s tired.. because she’s been running in my mind for whole day long.
Early on monday morning 23 June, we left Addlestone and head to Salisbury by train. Salisbury, in UK they call it Sols-bri instead of Sa-lis-bu-ri. It took me a while just to realize that it’s the same thing. It’s a 1 day trip to Salisbury because we wanted to visit the Stonehenge. It’s 13 kilometres to the north of Salisbury. “One of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world, Stonehenge is composed of earthworks surrounding a circular setting of large standing stones. The site and its surroundings were added to the UNESCO’s list of World Heritage Sites in 1986.” - source by wikipedia. It is a mysterious place as it looks like to the altar or things like that. When we’re walking around and listening to the walkie-talkie-thingy explaining what’s stonehenge is all about, we saw a lady dressed up like those Gypsy fortune teller. She walks with a walking stick that has goat head on top. She seems to know alot about the place and starts to explain to visitors and tell her stories. Seems odd to me.

We’ve also visited the Salisbury Cathedral. It’s situated at Salisbury town. Really amazing architecture.

She rented a hotel room not far away from the cathedral. It has the lovely classic English feel. There’s a river running through, a garden where you can sit and relax while enjoying the green view. It’s a very expensive room i can say. Love it alot :)
Months ago, she planned a trip to Paris. We left Salisbury the next morning taking a coach heading to Terminal 3 and switch to another coach that heads to Luton airport. Well, i messed up with the coach tickets a little as i forgot to print out the important part. Luckily we manage to get on the coach and printed the tickets out at cyber cafe in Terminal 3. It’s just this close to screw up our romantic trip to Paris.. Sorry Darling.. Sobs.. So, we fly Easyjet to Paris.
Paris, one of the largest cities in Europe. Located in the north of the country on the river Seine, Paris has the reputation of being the most beautiful and romantic of all cities. - quoted from wikitravel. It’s a really special trip as she wanted it to be that way. Never before i’d imagine that i’ll be roaming in the street of Paris one day, gazing at the sky resting on the field at Eiffel Tower, enjoying arts and history and architecture and fashion and culture, having a cup a drink at cafe alongside busy street of Paris, taking tonnes of photo of Arc de Triomphe, strolling on Champs-Elysées, talk to Marie-Claude on the phone wishing that we could meet, having dinner at Altitude 95 inside Eiffel Tower, river-cruising Seine river, and watched famous cabaret, Moulin Rouge.. One of the thing you won’t get to see in everyday life is you’ll find people kissing french style almost everywhere. Street, train, shopping mall, park, bus.. Romantic, isn’t it?

We went to Musée du Louvre, De Louvre Museum. The Louvre (French: Musée du Louvre) in Paris, France, is one of the world’s most visited art museums, a historic monument, and a national symbol. The collection contains nearly 35,000 pieces displayed over the structure’s 60,000 square metres (650,000 sq ft). - quoted from wikipedia Well, yea, you may have seen it in ‘The Da Vinci Code’. Glass pyramids, it’s looks really really cool. That’s where the main entrance is. And one thing about this museum, it is so HUGE that you’ll definately lost your way. No kidding! So our quest is to look for the Mona Lisa painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. Well there are loads of paintings and sculptures and artistics stuffs but .. yeah, i just happen to know Mona Lisa.

Third day is the most unforgettable day in my life. In order to make our trip to Paris the most memorable trip ever, she actually arranged a romantic night out. It’s 615pm. A friendly german cab driver came pick us up at our hotel. He picked up a few others from other hotels and drive us to Eiffel Tower for dinner. Altitude 95, located at 1st floor of Eiffel Tower, has a cozy environment, friendly waiters and customers. Gazing throughout the window, the romantic city, Paris falls under my sight. We had champagne, red wine, and fine french cuisine. The food it’s simply amazing. After dinner, we head for a cruise. It took us on a cruise on Seine river. The Seine is a major river and commercial waterway within the regions of Île-de-France and Haute-Normandie in France. - source by wikipedia. Enjoying cool evening breeze having her in my arm, that’s the most enjoying moment in my life.. We proceed to moulin rouge for the famous cabaret show. It’s really entertaining! It’s really a pity that we couldn’t take photos inside the hall. It’s worth watching :)

All in all, the Paris trip is amazing. Well, it’ll be perfect if we love bread + wine and know how to converse in french.
It’s very hard to imagine my life reached the bottom of the valley 3 years ago.. Of all the years i lived, i thought that i’d never be happy again. There’s no word in this world that could express how i appreciate of all that she’s giving me. The endless love, priority, care, support, understanding, tolerance.. The only way to express myself, is to love endlessly..

A journey to her heart.. ( part 1 )
July 15th, 2008
10868km, that’s the figure that showed on the monitor in front of me. That’s actually how far away from where she is now. But our hearts has never felt so close before.
Been counting the days at msn messenger since 100++ days. Pin, Yow chuan, and Ammie sent me to KLIA airport that day. I didn’t get much sleep as i was excited and busy packing my stuffs. We had Mc Donald for breakfast. Thanks guys.

I never travelled so far before.. i’m nervous though still trying to act cool. My flight is 10.15, but i reached and waited at the gate 1 hour earlier. Finally i got inside, settled myself and my thoughts started to wander off. Many told me that long hour flight is really disgusting, it makes you sick. It’s not really so for me. Beside me were a lovely couple from Australia. Shane and his girl friend. I can’t really recall her name.. Hour by hour, i really hope the plane can fly faster.. i was staring at the monitor in front of me and it showed that the temperature outside is -20 degrees celcius. I looked out the window and i saw this tiny snow flake forming at the window. It’s the first time in my life i’ve seen one. Simply mesmerizing.
Finally, after 13 hours flight, i’ve reached (LHR) London Heathrow airport. One of the world busiest airport. Trust me, it’s really packed with travellers. I lined up and waited for more than 90 minutes just to present myself to the custom with all the travelling documents. Got out from the airport, relieved. It’s sunny day, clear blue sky, clouds, cool breeze, fresh air… I took a cab, head to Addlestone in Surrey. Golden house, that’s where she stays back then. I walked across the street, when a sweet familiar voice called, “Darling!”. It melted my heart, and i forgot that i’ve actually flew halfway across the world and extremely exhausted. It’s really amazing..

I spent 2 days at Surrey settling down. It’s a peaceful town, friendly neighbourhood with smile on their face almost all the time. Wherever you go, people smile and actually wanted to talk to you. Or else, they’ll just simply said, “Cheers!”. We went to London on Sunday. One of the world’s leading city. Complete with extraordinary transportation system, it’s really hard to lose your way. London Eye and Tower Bridge ( Please note that it’s not London bridge ) for sightseeing, China Town for some nice Hong Kong Dim Sums, Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street for shopping!
